Janet Bauer, LCSW  (she/her/hers)

Janet Bauer received her Masters of Science Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Janet feels honored to work with children ages 5+, teens, adults, and families towards growth and healing. Janet is trained in multiple evidence-based treatment models, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She uses these and other clinical approaches in partnership with clients. Janet embraces the use of humor when appropriate.

 

Janet has special interest and extensive experience working with clients with attachment difficulties, trauma, foster care and adoption issues, non-binary and transgender identity, LGBTQIA issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, behavioral challenges, and parenting concerns. Janet also has experience working with individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum and are struggling with mental health issues. Janet has strong belief in the power of recovery from life’s most significant traumas and challenges.
