Stefan Matioc, Clinical Intern (he/him/his)
Stefan is pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to entering the world of therapy, he worked as a visual artist. His non-traditional background opened him up to the healing power of creativity, flow, and connection which he aims to carry into the therapy room.
Stefan believes in providing a comfortable and warm space where individuals feel safe to explore the stories that they tell themselves about their past, present, and future. He fosters a collaborative relationship that includes boundary setting, healthy coping skills, effective communication, and self-awareness. He believes integrating the connection of mind, body, and any spiritual beliefs for a holistic experience in the therapeutic relationship. He uses treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness and emotionally-focused therapy. He sees clients of all backgrounds and has experience working with adolescents as an art instructor as well as individuals struggling with addiction.
