Stefan Matioc, MFT-IT (he/him/his)
Stefan received his Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College where he learned a systems approach to individual, couples, and family therapy. Stefan comes from a non-traditional visual arts background where he discovered the healing power of creativity, flow, and connecting with the present moment. He holds space for thoughts and feelings to be noticed without judgement, while offering challenges in a dynamic conversation to promote ease, acceptance, and wellness.
Stefan believes in the healing power of a therapeutic dialogue, which can include our personal narratives, family history, relationships, coping skills, and the meaning we create from it all. He believes in integrating the connection of mind, body, and any spiritual beliefs for a holistic experience in the therapeutic relationship. He works with folks of any faith and non-faith backgrounds. He uses treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, Gestalt therapy, and mindfulness. Stefan works with adolescents and adults, as well as couples and families.
