
Kelly Costigan, LPC, CRC (she/her/hers)
Kelly Costigan, LPC, received her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kelly's experience includes rehabilitation counseling in the Dane county community and working with the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a professional and varsity student-athlete. She is skilled in building rapport with clients and using a strength-based style that incorporates trauma informed care practices. Kelly primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Experiential Therapy (i.e. therapeutic activities, art, music) techniques. She sees adults, including university students and student-athletes, who would like assistance with life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, work, compassion fatigue, identity/search for meaning, chronic illness and pain, grief, sports performance, and happiness.
Kelly is creative and passionate about helping others work towards wellness in various aspects of their lives. She encourages a “Growth Mindset,” meaning over time people can view challenges as opportunities for growth and building resilience. Kelly infuses sport psychology practices to counsel with others in reaching their goals and full potential.
