Beatriz Chong, Clinical Intern (she/they)
Beatriz is a master’s student in the Counseling Psychology program at UW-Madison. She works to provide an experience where individuals feel cared for through individualized and authentic therapeutic relationships. Beatriz’s past experiences include supporting adolescents’ well-being during wilderness therapy and supporting families through providing strengths-based parent education.
They value equity in mental health care services and a space for individuals to feel wholly seen in their unique intersections of identity and experience. Beatriz believes that all individuals have a unique potential to find meaning throughout their lives. Through gently guiding folks towards using courage and vulnerability, they hope to support individuals in moving away from painful patterns and towards creating personal meaning. Beatriz hopes to use their dedication to continuous education and awareness of systemic oppressions to support Queer and BIPOC children and adults.
